This is the JDM version of the venerable Seiko Turtle 6309 featuring a higher-spec, higher-jewel count, hacking movement as well as english/kanji date wheel. This is a very well preserved example from February 1978. The watch has never seen water intrusion as the dial is perfect. The dial indices are slightly creamy. The case, bezel, and caseback appear unpolished and are in pretty good shape. The movement service history is unknown but the watch keeps accurate time and the day/date wheel function properly. Hacking function works properly. I had the watch crystal and gaskets replaced by my watchmaker to ensure that the piece is waterproof. The watch was pressure tested by my watchmaker and passed. The strap is a reproduction strap modeled on the original strap. This vintage Seiko diver is ready to face the elements!
