The idea behind the Milgauss was to create a watch with high magnetic resistance for scientists who work around magnetic fields. This is actually a pretty handy characteristic in our world of electronic everything. What really sets the Milgauss apart though, is the design features. A stick dial reminiscent of other Rolex’s is made unique with multiple colors; red and orange in the day, and blue and green at night. The second hand is a unique orange lighting bolt. The crystal is made of a green-tinted sapphire, a feature I’ve never seen anywhere else. And despite all these design embellishments, the proportions are classic perfection. Big and bold enough to have a presence on the wrist, without being garish about it.
