For sale is this beautiful vintage Seiko Sportsmatic 6619-8030. The watch was built in June 1965 and is in great condition. The 6619 automatic movement is clean and features a day-date function. The dial and sword hands are in perfect condition. The stainless steel over brass case measures 36 mm and 18 mm between lugs. Comes with a gently used leather strap. The watch keeps excellent time on the wrist at about -3 seconds per day. Crystal and crown are in excellent condition. The case back is in great condition and features the classic Dolphin stamp, differentiating automatic from manual wind Seiko sport watches. For a watch that’s 60 years old, it’s remarkable how great of a condition it’s in. That’s not to say it’s perfect, as there is a small scratch in the chapter ring at 2 o’clock, and there is some plate loss on the underside of the case as shown in the photos. Watch collecting sometimes brings some tough decisions, and this is one of them for me. When I think of a vintage watch, this is exactly as I picture it.
