I have for sale a have for sale a stunning Rolex Sea-Dweller from 1977.

The ultimate tool watch: the legendary ref. 1665 MK1, known by collectors as the ‘Great White’.

Vintage at its best: flawless dial on an unpolished case.

This example of the Sea-Dweller ref. 1665 follows the ten-year production of the Double Red Sea-Dweller (1967–1977).
Retaining the same reference number, it introduced several new features and was produced for a short period of five years.
The “Great White” earned its nickname from its distinctive dial, which features only white text, unlike the earlier models with red lettering.

This specimen dates back to late 1977 and comes with a rare MK1 dial.
The MK1 version is quite easy to differentiate because it is the first and only version of the "Great White" to display "ft" (feet) straight. The subsequent versions all had "ft" in italics.

The watch is original in every parts and runs well keeping good time.

CASE:
Unpolished case that still retains its original Rolex finish.
Serial and reference number are fully visible.
Original 1665 caseback.
Original Helium escape valve.

BEZEL INSERT:
The bezel is wonderfully sharp, the original Rolex MK3 inlay is in very good condition

DIAL:
The dial is an original dial MK1 variant with a beautiful eggshell patina even on all plots and all lettering is clearly visible and correct.
The hands are tritium and match perfectly to the dial.
Tritium is original and responds correctly to UVA light.
The dial is in outstanding condition and it shows no chips around the rehault and no scratches.

BRACELET:
The bracelet is the original 93150 with 585 endings with all the 12 links and the clasp code (VC) matches the serial.

MOVEMENT:
Correct 1570 caliber running well.
'Open 6' data disc.
The movement was serviced 6 years ago.
