I'm selling my Seiko King Turtle in 45mm, with 22mm lug width and a very compact lug to lug of around 48mm. The watch features a Seiko 4R38 movement, featuring hacking and hand winding, and a day and date complication. The watch comes as new in the factory box, and has a beautiful and classy Miltat Jubilee style bracelet with locking fold over clasp. The bracelet has not been sized. The sale also includes the factory bracelet that is unworn. What makes a King Turtle? The signature grenade textured dial, the sapphire crystal, and the ceramic bezel raises the Turtle to "King" status. Throw in Seiko's Lumibrite lume and you have a complete diver that also looks great at the office. This is a classic Seiko dive watch, from the Prospex line. Regular retail on this watch is $625.00, without the Miltat bracelet, which retails for over $100.00. No trades please. Reasonable offers considered. Please look at the other watches I am selling. The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials.
