Up for sale is the Seiko Bell-Matic 4005-7000 in excellent condition. Images: https://imgur.com/a/W4mMpAD Timestamp: https://imgur.com/a/0Hivdhk The Seiko Bell-Matic was first introduced in late 1966 and remains one of the most technically impressive vintage Seiko watches from the era. It was the world’s first automatic wristwatch with a mechanical alarm and stands as the only alarm complication of full Japanese origin. This example is fitted with the Caliber 4006A, featuring a mechanical alarm, automatic winding, and day-date complication — all controlled via a single crown and a secondary alarm pusher at 2 o’clock. The alarm mechanism is fully mechanical and produces a short, metallic chime when triggered. The dial on this Bell-Matic is in excellent condition, with a clean sunburst silver finish, applied hour markers, and the correct script and Suwa logo at 6 o’clock. Day and date display are positioned at 3 o’clock with English day wheel. Hands and markers are all original and show no signs of corrosion or damage. Case shows only minor wear with strong original lines and correct factory brushing still visible. Dimensions are 38mm wide, 43mm lug-to-lug, and 13mm thick, giving it good presence on the wrist without feeling oversized. The movement is running strong, with timekeeping within acceptable vintage tolerances. Alarm function is working as intended. The watch has been serviced so it will keep great time. Watch comes on OEM bracelet that fits up to 20cm (8 inches) and in great shape. Although it doesn’t come with original box and paper, a standard watch box will be provided upon purchase.
