A very rare Longines Admiral 5 Star Automatic Watch in great condition. Stunning Linen brushed White sunburst dial with raised indexes. Movement has been serviced. Great time keeping. Solid build quality. Creative design on the piece makes it a conversation piece. Signed crown. It has a cool quickset function, by pressing the crown deeper inside the case it changes the day. Such pieces should be appreciated upfront to experience at full measure, pictures don't do justice to it. Sunlight brings out most of its beauty. A sporty dress watch. Paired with an aftermarket Beads of rice (BOR) bracelet, unsigned clasp. I will also add a handmade leather strap with it. Great collectible. Handling it, I can definitely guarantee this is superior to modern watches of the same price zone.

The Admiral 5-star model was introduced in the early 1960s as a premium addition to the Admiral collection. The five stars on the dial symbolised the highest level of quality and performance that Longines offered. These watches were equipped with automatic movements and featured various complications which added to their appeal.

Longines is known to produce watches as classic as this, simple time only minimalistic dial yet sophisticated and complex high end movements. This example is a wonderful example of classic watch design. It is a design language that's timeless.
