This watch is incredibly unique, beautiful, and a true homage to the era of utilitarian tool watches. The decompression scales not only add a nice touch of color, but have such a interesting history as an important function that was vital for divers in the 1960s. Included with the watch are all parts of the original box and papers, purchased from Hodinkee in August of 2020 before these pieces quickly sold out. This packaging celebrates the limited edition and comes with 2 additional straps, a leather strap and rubber strap with accents matching the dial colors, along with the Milanese steel bracelet the watch came standard on. I've also went through Mido's parts department and purchased the official strap from the Ocean Star Decompression Worldtimer (M026.829.17.051.00). This black Tropic rubber strap from Mido is impeccable and suits this limited edition model so well. The watch has perfect dimensions of a 40.5mm diameter case with 13.4mm thickness. It has a beautiful box-shaped sapphire crystal, screw-down crown + caseback, and 200 meters of water-resistance. Powered by the modern workhorse of the Mido Calibre 80 (base ETA C07.621), featuring 25 jewels, 21,600 vibrations per hour, 80 hour power reserve, and an anti-magnetic silicon balance spring.
