A delightfully absurd, wonderfully contradictory watch; the Pasha de Cartier, Ref. 30009. An opulent and exotic “sports watch,” this particular Pasha is cast in the model’s intended metal (by the Pasha of Marrakech (1940s?) and designer Gerald Genta alike), solid yellow gold. Additionally, this very 1980s-styled quartz powered chronograph, also features the rare, earlier iteration of the 18k bracelet—a 5-link brick design, commonly referred to as the “figaro”, this example’s measuring 7.3 inches. This is the heaviest of the Pasha bracelets with the watch weighing a total of 177 grams! 38mm case, ivory (sand) dial, 1992. Wonderful condition throughout. Watch only.
