**"THE FIRST WATCH WORN ON THE MOON"**   In 1965, NASA selected the Omega Speedmaster Professional as the official wristwatch for its manned space missions. The Speedmaster became the first watch to be worn on the moon during the Apollo 11 mission in 1969, solidifying its status as the “Moonwatch.”  Today, we are presenting one of the most legendary and collectible watch models in the world, a pre-owned Omega Speedmaster Professional chronograph wristwatch, reference 145.022 and dated from 1971.  It is a manual-wind watch powered by an original Omega mechanical movement caliber 861, chronograph (sweep second hand, 30-min sub-dial and 12-hour counting sub-dial), 17 jewels, a sub-second hand, a 40-hour power reserve, and operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour (vph), Swiss made.   Cased in a 42mm tonneau/barrel-shaped stainless steel case, case-back adorned with the traditional Seamaster logo of the hippocampus (or seahorse), indicating its water-resistant capabilities. It also has a fixed tachymeter bezel and the original Omega-signed crown.  In good condition, still has the original black dial with luminous baton hour markers, white outer minute track, and luminous matching white hands. It also features three sub-dials (sub registers) with white markings, at 3 o’clock the 30-min sub-dial, at 6 o'clock 12-hour sub-dial and at 9 o’clock the small second hand.
