Up for grabs today is a cooler alternative to the very famous SKX- the lesser known 7548. The 7548 kicked off the use of the excellently sized case later used by the SKX. It uses a fully serviceable metal gear train that is infinitely better than the disposable quartz movements of today. This example has a fairly new battery (I think it has a year on it but I don’t remember for sure) and a full service was conducted. The timekeeping is stupidly accurate. Clean OEM crystal and a fairly clean bezel as well. The case is unpolished and has hairline scratches like you would expect from a watch of this vintage but truly nothing crazy. The midnight blue dial shifts from blue to gray to black depending on the lighting. This one has all the goodies- Kanji date, Uncle Seiko reproduction Z199 bracelet (which was an option on this model back in the day), the original GL831 strap the watch was sold on, as well as a DAL1BP rubber strap in better condition.
