[WTS] 1968 Tudor Submariner 7016/0 - Stunning Patina, Unique Vintage Appeal
I'm parting ways with my beautiful 1968 Tudor Submariner Reference 7016/0, a true vintage gem with its parts verified from the same year including its full-linked 7206 bracelet. This watch shares the same case, crown, bracelet as the Rolexcoutnerparts of the same timeperiod, since they were the same watch then minus the dial and movement. This watch is very unique. Key Details: * Model: Tudor Submariner 7016/0 * Year: 1968 (serial and bracelet stamping confirmed) * Condition: Excellent overall; the watch currently uses an ETA 2451 movement that was replaced by my watchmaker with its original ETA 2438 movement (included - all original parts included), which he did instead of replacing parts of the $400 ETA 2451 movement with parts of the ETA 2438 to make the ETA 2438 movement in working condition again. * Hands: Original hands are being used on the watch, minus the seconds hand. Currently fitted with non-OEM second hands matching the other two hands and the patina. The original seconds hand is of course included; its stem needs to be glued back/fixed to be used. * Lume: Still glows faintly, with such unique appeal. * Bracelet: Genuine Rolex 7206 in great condition. Full links. * Patina: Exceptionally beautiful, offering that sought-after vintage look. The 10'o clock market has fallen off while my watchmaker was fixing the movement. It was verified that the remainder of the lume pieces are good. About the Watch: Purchased from a reputable high-transaction eBay dealer, this watch was kept in the drawer of the owner for a lot of its life. Later verified by World Time in San Jose and several other independent watch experts, this watch comes with all parts including the bracelet that are dated back to the year of 1968. It comes with two additional non-OEM inserts (grey and blue, $300 each) that complement the watch's aesthetic incredibly, alongside the original black insert which, despite its characterful scratches, remains beautiful. Why I'm Selling: This Tudor has been a proud part of my collection, and letting it go is tough. I've received valuations of this watch that go up to $19k, but I simply want to get as much of my funds back as possible and let this go to someone who will appreciate its history and beauty. I am $10k in the hole with this, and with the lume chipped off on the 10'oclock indices area, I have discounted the watch by nearly $2k for a potentail service. This is a steal, listed for a fast sale. I have been given some contacts of watchmakers who can fix this lume, info that I can pass onto the buyer. Offer Details: * Price: $8,500, with the 7206 bracelet. Given its condition, history, and the unique combination of original and carefully selected non-OEM parts, this thing is nothing short of a steal. I'm already at a loss at this price calculating the 2438 movement service (which is simple since 2451 shares parts with 2438 and my watchmaker is using the 2451 in it, whieh keeps excellent time). I wouldn't mind having a discussion with a potential buyer. * Shipping: I cover shipping costs (CONUS preferred). Local deals are welcome; I'm based in the Bay Area. * Payment: Zelle or Wire preferred. PayPal F&F is an option for established members, ensuring a secure transaction for both parties. The reason for selling now and at this price is because I could use the funds. If it doesn't sell soon, I will withdraw this listing and wait for my watchmaker, get the ETA 2438 and lume fixed, and then wear, or maybe later re-list to sell at what it's actually worth. We will see. Photos and Timestamp:[ https://imgur.com/a/tudor-submariner-7016-0-MzCcTVa](https://imgur.com/a/tudor-submariner-7016-0-MzCcTVa) This Tudor is a piece of history, with its own stories to tell. Vintage watches show a lot more character, history, and ultimately the buyer's taste than new Rolexes or Tudors ever will. This is what you would call a "prized possession".
