Dear OF,

Up for sale is a nice ETERNA manual winding from the end-'50s.

The watch is in excellent condition overall, and with the exception of a small dot on the second "E" of the Eterna on the dial.

The dial is the star of the show, very clean with great makers.

The other similar ones for sale I've seen recently were from our own @Tony C. here and here

I couldn't write it better than him when describing the dial... So, I quote:
"This is, to my eye, one of the more interesting dial variations that ETERNA used during the mid-century. The indexes, as you can see in the photos, are inverted triangles, with the exception of 3, 6, 9 and 12. With the exception of the 12, those are comprised by three dots the closest to the minute/second track.... The truncated hands include a second hand with an iconic, red enamel tip. These were employed frequently by ETERNA during the period."

The watch measures 34.3mm excluding the crown.

The sharp case features chamfered lugs (seem unpolished to my eyes), which were often used on ETERNA watches from that period.

The screw-back case is all steel with its serial number on the back easily readable .

The caliber 1117H dates to 1957, and, works just fine (no service history known) but I would certainly recommend a service for daily use.

My asking price is 425€ (was 450€) + shipping.

The watch and myself are located in Belgium.

I accept payment by bank transfer, Wise and PayPal F&F.

No return accepted unless grossly misrepresented.

I have some references, mostly as a buyer but a couple of sales too... Here

Feel free to reach out should you like more photos

And now the watch:
