Patek Philippe ref 3468/4 in 18k yellow gold with integrated 18k gold mesh band, circa 1970. Time only. Handwound. 33mm. Really fantastic condition; I doubt that there could be many of these around that are any nicer. TZ 95%, execept that the watch could benefit from a service. Watch has never been polished.
Movement is the 23-300. From an online discussion forum: "Carlos Perez wrote a comparative essay on some of the famous handwinds and to quote, 'The 23-300 is one of very few movements manufactured by Patek Philippe to use both an overcoil hairspring and a free-sprung Gyromax balance, and of which it was the only 10 ligne handwind. It represents both the technical and artistic peak of Patek's 10 ligne handwinds.'"
Geneva sealed, unlike current Pateks. Design, decoration, anglage, and general finish all beautiful, unlike current entry level Pateks, which are not hand finished.
Includes original inner and outer box, no original papers. $7000. Watch weighs 62 grams; the gold alone is worth more than $3000. Price includes shipping. Item can ship from Canada or USA. Accept bank wire or PayPal plus 1/2 PayPal fees.
