Nothing can do this watch justice, other than seeing it in person. The next best thing is a video, which [you can watch by clicking here.](https://www.instagram.com/p/C4vbt9kKI0x/) **Model**: Made by Provenance Watches; a custom watch using Seiko's NH38 movement **Year**: 2024 **Features**: * *The Dial*. The Titanium dial is inspired by the iconic “Great Wave off Kanagawa” woodblock print by the Japanese Artist Hokusai, as part of his “Thirty-six views of Mount Fuji” collection. The dial is stunning, and I really dislike how unphotographable the effect is. While it might look painted, the colours are actually the result of [using a fibre laser to anodise the titanium at different voltages]( https://www.reddit.com/r/Skookum/comments/yh34mc/using_lasers_and_pixies_i_made_a_swatch_of_all/), which results in subtle effects like each ray of the Sun capturing and reflecting the light in a slightly different colour. I strongly recommend [watching the video](https://www.instagram.com/p/C4vbt9kKI0x/), although my amateur videography attempts still don’t do the brilliance of this dial justice. Anodising titanium isn’t perfect, so there might be tiny flecks of discolouration on the dial from certain angles. This is a natural part of the process, and not damage. Sadly the dial Artist, sergeyshherban on IG, has deactivated his account so I’m not sure when this incredible dial will be available again. * *The Case*. Brushed stainless steel in the classic Italian Navy/Panerai style, complete with a Provenance Watches case back. The crystal is a flat sapphire with blue-tinted anti-reflective coating. The lever is fully functional, as you would expect, and fits snugly against the case, ensuring water resistance (measured up to 50m by me, but rated to 100m by the manufacturer). * *The Bezel*. Omnidirectional brushed-steel Japanese numeral bezel – designed external indices for the dial, but also functions as a dual-time bezel. * *The Strap*. A vintage style full-grain blue horse leather strap. It’s considerably more water resistance than cow leather, and much softer without requiring a breaking in period. I use this manufacturer’s straps in a lot of my personal collection/daily wears. * *Movement*. A new NH38 Automatic movement regulated to +/- 5 seconds. The same as an NH35 movement by Seiko, but it doesn’t have a date wheel so there’s no annoying “ghost date” to worry about. **Condition**: Unworn - great condition. **Scope**: Comes in an attractive and secure leather travel case carrying my Provenance Watches logo **Movement**: Automatic, 21,600bph, 41-hour power reserve **Case Width**: 42.5mm **Lug to lug:** 52mm **Case Thickness**: 12mm **Lug width**: 22mm **Price**: Offered at **$645** plus shipping which costs $5-$30 (depending on where you are in the world). Undoubtedly an expensive custom watch, but the dial alone was almost $100, and I’ve really spared no expense throughout the build. This watch will look and feel luxurious on your wrist. Bank Wire, Wise or PayPal accepted (depending on your transaction history). Not accepting trades. Fees paid by you. **Of note**: Nothing to report [Album](https://imgur.com/a/adTUTsl) [Proof](https://imgur.com/a/oQmNIhP)
