Hi all,
I decided to part with my Universal Genève stop watch chronometer signed by the renowned watchmaker from Rome Antonio Cairelli, who during the 1930s became supplier of timepieces to the Italian Armed Forces.
His name resonates a lot today among passionates because it's seen on some highly sought after military chronographs produced by Universal Genève and Zenith for the Italian Army during the 60s, till 1969/70, when mr. Cairelli passed away and the factory closed.

The specimen I'm offering today is close to perfection, given its age. A collector's item, I'd say.
Everything appears to be strictly original but the crystal, which has been recently replaced during a full service.

Stainless steel 45x45 case has no dings or scratches.

Universal Genève marked movement 295 is protected by a double caseback, inner and outer, with a serial number engraved on the latter. There is a serial number on the movement, also.
I'm dating the watch to 1930s because Antonio Cairelli opened his business in downtown Rome in 1932.
Movement has been just fully serviced by my trusty watchmaker and works strong.

Enamel dial is perfect: no dark spots, no chips, no hairlines. Just a really tiny spot hardly visible in some light conditions between 30 and 35 seconds.

Original crown and hands.

Please ask me via pm for any doubt about the watch. I will reply as fast as possible.
Watch and me are located in Rome, Italy. Since this thing is pretty unique, it's also hard to price it. I think a reasonable request could be 750 euros shipped with tracking code and ensured with Secursus everywhere within EU. Overseas transactions are welcome with shipping costs and modality to be decided with buyer. I'm since now open to offers and inquiries.
Payment via bank wire strongly preferred, a face to face in Rome is possible.

I have some good feedbacks so far on OF at the following links both as buyer and seller, but plenty of references from other international fora and ebay can be provided if needed:

Before posting some pics, thanks a lot OF for the opportunity and thanks you all for looking.
Alessandro
