For sale is my beautiful Vertex M60C no-date dive watch in black DLC. I bought this in January of this year a few months after the black no-date models had already been discontinued, but Don at Vertex put together one more for me.

The M60 AquaLion is an ISO-rated 600 meter (tested to pressure of 750 meters) dive watch with top-grade Sellita SW300 movement regulated and sent to COSC for certification (COSC certificate for this watch is included in the box). In the almost five months that I’ve had the watch it averages about -1 second per day, which is as good as it gets for mechanical.

Like all Vertex watches, this one has numerals and indices molded out of solid lume material that glows brighter than any other watch I’ve ever owned, and lasts all through the night and to the next morning. The hands are also very generously lumed and glow as bright and as long as the indices. Even the tip of the second hand is well-lumed and easy to see in the dark.

This watch has a 40mm case, a matte ceramic bezel that is also fully and generously lumed, and at only 14mm thick (very thin for 600/750 meter diver) it wears very nicely, even slipping under most cuffs thanks to the sloping profile of the bezel. That bezel also has about the most satisfying 60 click unidirectional action I’ve ever felt, right up there with Rolex and Tudor, only with an even better knurling pattern on the edge modeled from the sight adjuster of the WWII British Bren machine gun. The crown Is nice and large, but doesn’t dig into the wrist, and has a similar knurling pattern to the bezel

The case is mostly a brushed finish, with a polished line separating the top from the sides and the whole thing is a very nice black or perhaps very dark gray/brown DLC (diamond like carbon) coating that wears much harder than PVD and still looks fantastic even on the bracelet link joints.

The watch comes in a Pelican-case and includes a high-end FKM rubber dive strap, a dark blue ZuluAlpha strap and an Oyster-style bracelet with fold-over clasp and dive extension. The Vertax branding on the clasp lock as well as the V-over-W (Vertex Watches) logo are both lumed, and under the locking bar are the two red dots that are on either side of the60 minute mark on the dials of other Vertex models. The crown is also signed, and the two-piece screw down case back (center does not rotate) is nicely engraved and textured.

I own a variety of watches and of the three core Vertex Series, this is the most developed in its design (all are very well-finished). Finish quality is a hair below Rolex, and roughly equivalent to Tudor, Omega or Brietling, only with (imo) a much more interesting design that is loosely based on a 1959-model Vertex dive watch.

As with all of my listings, the watch will come packed in its original Vertex-branded Peli case with everything that it came with from the factory. Insured CONUS shipping and PayPal fees are included in the price. Sorry, I’m not interested in trades.

Reasonable offers happily considered, but low-ball offers will be ignored.

Thank you for looking.
