PRICED TO SELL: $975 Looking for a porcelain dial at an affordable price? Looking for an "everyday" watch that straddles dressy and sporty? Part of Seiko's Presage line, where Seiko offers better movements than their entry level pieces and brings class and sophistication at an affordable price point, the Arita is named after a small town on the third largest island in the Southwest of Japan. Starting in the 17th century, Arita, was known for carrying the tradition and artistry for producing porcelain products. The star of the show here is the dial. Light hits the porcelain and reflects it in ways that only porcelain can do. It's mesmerizing. The dial is a multi-stage process that requires an artisan touch, and there is a glaze applied to the porcelain which provides depth and richness. The blue color on these limited editions is called "lapis lazuli" that is done using a traditional dyeing technique called "ruri zome." This color combo of white porcelain and faint lapis lazuli is reminiscent of coveted japanese porcelain vases, bowls, and plates. Condition is used and loved, but not abused. There are hairline scratches you can see in photos, no big dents or deep scratches. A good polish would make it look new, but that's up to you if you'd prefer a polish. The size is very wearable at 40.6 with a 48.8 lug to lug. There's an exhibition caseback. The movement is the 6R27 which is automatic, can do manual winding, has power reserve indicator, and a date hand at six o clock. I like that this piece is unassuming at first, but at closer inspection you can see more and more what makes it special. It can be dressed up for more formal affairs, and also makes everyday wear very feasible being in stainless steel, being 100m water resistant, and an automatic movement. There were only 2000 of these limited edition pieces made. The caseback here shows this is 251 out of 2000. I bought this from a vendor in Japan, so that might explain the difference in reference numbers. THIS IS PRICED TO MOVE. Asking $975 for watch and full kit. Shipping included. Paypal F&F, Paypal G&S +3%, Zelle, Venmo. I have over 30 transactions here on this subreddit, and have done other trades and sales in knives, edc, and custom keyboards
