Oh how I love the stealth black and gilt dial Cartier Tank! It’s just such a crazy cool look. And this is a beautiful example complete with its original Cartier strap, buckle, caseback sticker, and box! YEAR: App late 70s - mid 80s DIAL: VERY tricky watch to photograph, between the black dial and the curved crystal, but even with a few reflections you can see how absolutely GORGEOUS this dial is!!! The black and the gold is pure elegance! A few specks/dust particles and light spidering common with these, a small bit of wear seen under macro, but all in a fantastic example! CASE: This is the vintage men’s version, measuring in at 23.5MM x 30.5MM. A small and classy watch, equally suitable as a midsize or unisex swatch. Pictured on my 6.6 inch wrist, it wears beautifully. The Vermeil case, a Cartier staple of gold over sterling silver, has wear throughout, as to be expected given the age. This example has none of the plating loss usually found on these, and great to see the original caseback sticker! And of course that sweet crown with its blue cabochon! MOVEMENT: Cartier handwinding movement running very well, service history unknown, but feels smooth when winding and setting and timegrapher numbers are good at 13 seconds per day with an amplitude of 224. STRAP: Comes on its original Cartier leather strap (with new keepers for safety) in really great shape for its age - still nice and soft and complete with its original Cartier buckle!
