This is a unique and rare one from Gallet. Trying to find a Decimal dial variant of their Multichron lineup is difficult enough; to find one with a Valjoux 7733 movement which also omits the word ‘Decimal’ from the dial is near impossible. But here, you have it all in good condition for a watch that dates back to circa 1969. Wear marks on the unpolished case are minimal, but as expected for a watch of this age, though the original acrylic crystal is scratch-free. In the mid-20th century, decimal dials were “...engineered for medical, industrial, sports, and scientific applications, time recording functions are divided into minutes and tenths of minutes. Due to the specialized use, relatively small numbers of this rare watch were produced.” ([Source: Gallet World](http://www.galletworld.com/gallet_watch_multichron_decimal.html), which also provides additional specs and valuations). This model measures approx. 36mm in terms of case diameter. The lugs jut out quite a bit from the case, giving it an elegant and vintage mid-century modern flair. The watch comes on a dark gray suede strap from Veblenist, which looks stunning and really helps the dial shine, and keeps the overall colorway neutral, allowing for the red decimal markers to pop. [Photos / Timestamp](https://imgur.com/a/CGWiUfs) I am asking a near-firm $3850. No lowball offers, please. Comes as watch-only, inside a neat little display case (see photos). Venmo, Zelle or PayPal accepted. Shipping to CONUS or local pickup in NYC. Please comment here before PM’ing (no chats). Feel free to also take a look at my other listings, as I am currently trying to downsize some of my collection. There are very few comps available online for this model. Chrono24 only has two listings, both of which exceed $4.5k. I absolutely love this watch – it just doesn’t get enough time on the wrist. In no rush to sell this, so I’m looking for as close to the asking price as possible.
