I have for sale a wonderful, unpolished Rolex GMT Master-II ref. 16710 with a coke bezel. This is a U-serial, dating it to ~1998. I purchased the watch this past summer from a well-known dealer. It’s a terrific example, but I just never bonded with it and have barely worn it since I bought it. I’m currently shopping for a 5513, so it’s time to let this one go and allocate resources elsewhere.

The watch has an excellent, seemingly unpolished case with super sharp lugs. This is very tough to find with this reference/time period. The bracelet is tight and is also in great shape with minimal wear. I don’t know who owned it before me, but they treated it well. The watch also features a tritium dial, which has aged to a beautiful cream color that I imagine will continue to deepen with time. All lume is perfectly intact. This should be clearly visible in the photos I’ve included below. In addition, the sticker is still on the back of the case and under the correct light, you can make out the “16710” and the Rolex coronet on it. The watch is keeping great time and running very well.

Price: $11,995 (watch only).

Please note: Although I’ve had my account for many years, this is the first watch I’m selling on VRF. I’ve historically been a vintage Omega guy, and it was only recently that I ventured into the world of Rolex. It’s important to me that all potential buyers feel comfortable dealing with the transaction and with dealing with me. As such, I’ve included a photo of the watch on a piece of paper with my username and today’s date on it to prove that I do in fact own the watch. I don’t have any references or a long post history on VRF, but if you would like, you can look me up on the Omega Forums, where I use the same username and have references and a years-long post history.

Please let me know if you have any questions, would like any more photos, etc. The watch is located in California and I’d prefer to ship to someone in the US. Thanks!
