Iconic for its industrial yet dressy design, integrated bracelet tech with toolless size adjustment and bracelet swapping, 100-meter water resistance, and a surprisingly robust movement with high magnetic resistance (this watch measured 0 to +5 spd). I’m selling it after being head-over-heels love with this piece before eventually realizing it’s not quite my style (watch hype is bad). Since then, it’s been pretty much unworn for many, many months to this day. I’m hoping someone can take this watch off my hands and give it better home. For the uninitiated, the flat polished bezel of any Santos is probably the bonafide scratch magnet in the watch world. Or maybe it’s Zaratsu polishing… Either way, it’s something one learns to accept with the Santos, and if it helps, even the Cartier sales associates were surprised at how well-cared my bezel was when I went in for a strap change. I really do baby my watches (often to a fault), and I think the bezel is still really clean 1 year later. By the way, this bezel also CAN be officially lightly polished multiple times by Cartier free of charge under the still-active warranty (see below for info), and it’s been confirmed that you can always have Cartier completely replace the bezel with a brand new one any time. So for those worried, you can wear this hard for a few years and replace the bezel completely to new if desired. Besides 4 incredibly tiny, superficial hairlines on the left side of the case that is only visible under very harsh light and active inspection, I’m really confident this watch is as new as it otherwise gets. Essentially rest of the entire case, case back, crystal, bracelet and clasp, additional leather strap, etc. are immaculate.
