Up for sale today is a rare and beautiful Glashutte Original 1845 Klassik Up/Down Moonphase circa the early-2000s. The reference number is 49-03-04-01-04. This dial layout with the small seconds at 6:00 instead of a date is rare. Even more rare is to find one in stainless steel with a white dial. I have read that only 100 pieces were made, but I cannot confirm that. The crisp white dial, blued steel Breguet hands, painted Arabic numbers, and coin edge bezel make for a stunning watch. The size is just right at 38.5mm and the proportions are classic. It has a power reserve indicator, moonphase indicator, and small seconds. The movement is the renowned manual wind in-house GUB 49. It is impressive and stunning. It is rhodium plated and features gold chatons, swan neck regulator, Cotes De Geneve embellishment, and a 21k rotor. Truly a work of art. The watch is in excellent condition with only minor hairline scratches on the case. The sale comes with the watch only. It includes the original strap and clasp and a bonus custom maya leather strap. It also includes a wooden box and tool for adjusting the moonphase. The watch was eBay authenticated and the authentication card is included.
