**The rather hard to find (in working order) 6M13 0010 Age of Discovery from Seiko’s Dancing hands & Perpetual Calendar series.** Released to commemorate the 500th Anniversary Christopher Columbus “discovering” the Americas, the 6M13 comes equipped with a pretty globe dial and a stunning Santa Maria case back. At first glance you might feel a bit overwhelmed by a dial crowded with hands; but rest assured, it’s actually a very easy to understand watch. The navy-blue side of each hand points to the time, when “TIME” is selected on the six o’clock sub dial. The red and blue ends of the hands point to the days, months, and years when “CALENDAR” or “ALARM” is selected. It is particularly satisfying to switch between the various modes as the hands gently whir into their respective positions. [If you’d like to watch a video please click here.]( https://www.instagram.com/p/CyySCG_qRni/) It has various features, some more useful than others, and I will list them all below. [Keep up to date with me as I list more of my rare JDM watches for sale](https://www.instagram.com/provenancewatches/) **Model**: Seiko 6M13 0010; Age of Discovery Perpetual Calendar **Year**: 1991 **Features**: - **Perpetual Calendar**. Displays Day, Date, Month, and the full four-digit year (in case you forget which century we’re in). It accounts for leap years and remains accurate until 2400. It also has a calendar search option where you can input some date related data and it will spit out the missing pieces. This is very useful if you need to find out what day of the week it was on 5th September 2003 (Friday). Because the watch can track dates from 1400 to 2400, it actually switches from the Julian Calendar to the Gregorian Calendar in 1582! Pretty remarkable. - **Dual Alarms**. You can set an alarm for a specific date, or set a general daily alarm. - **Dancing Hands**. Can art be considered a feature? They just look great. Watch the video above and see for yourself. You’ll spend at least the first full day you have with this watch switching through the various modes. **Condition**: New Old Stock – immaculate condition. The leather is 32-year-old leather though, and despite never being worn it’s a bit dry. Could use some leather cream. **Scope**: No papers or box **Movement**: Quartz, with new battery just installed **Case Width**: 39.0mm **Lug to lug:** 43.3mm **Case Thickness**: 10.5mm **Strap Length**: 21cm (original leather strap) **Lug width**: 18mm **Price**: Offered at **$950** net to me plus shipping. Bank Wire, Paypal or Zelle accepted. Not accepting trades. I’ve priced this on the high end of the scale as it is New Old Stock. A rare perfect example of this watch. **Of note**: New Old Stock [Album & Picture Proof]( https://imgur.com/a/VlmkS9P)

The price of this watch is an outlier for this particular model and not included in the distribution. It may be miscategorized, incorrectly priced, or extremely unique.

Estimated Private Party Value $100 — $159
