**The limited edition JDM SCVE001 has become more and more popular since its 2016 release** Released with little fanfare from Seiko, and in limited numbers, this SCVE (and it’s yellow, blue and orange counterparts) boomed in popularity, especially overseas due to its Japan-only release. I had been trying to collect the whole set, but after two years of looking and only being able to buy an Orange Dot in that time, I have decided to give up and move onto other things. I’m genuinely sad to part ways with it, but hopefully someone else can reunite it with its “Spirit Series” SCVE brothers and sisters. In case anyone is interested, I recently discovered something about this watch that I’ve never seen online before; the idea for SCVE series came from the 2009 Seiko Power Design Project. The photos represent the metal condition very well. There is an incredibly light scratch near the 12 o’clock position on the crystal. The last picture of the album highlights the mark in question. It is so light that it can only be seen when zoomed in on a camera from certain angles – in fact you won’t even be able to see it in most of the photos. The first time I even noticed it was when uploading the photos to my computer as it is genuinely difficult to see/notice in person.
