[WTS] Seiko SBDC111 SPB153 Captain Willard automatic dive watch

I’m selling the Seiko SBDC111 (green dial and green bezel) “Captain Willard” that I bought new in February 2023. I think it is the JDM version of the Seiko SPB153. Timestamp and photos: [https://imgur.com/a/roaqMBF](https://imgur.com/a/roaqMBF) I always wore the watch on a third-party strap, so the original Seiko strap is like-new; the metal keeper still has plastic wrap on it. The case, crystal, and bezel appear to be free from scratches and dings. There might be some smudges on the caseback from being in contact with skin, and there might be some very faint scratches near the lug holes or in the lug holes from a few strap changes -- see the last two photos. Includes the original Seiko boxes, pillow, documentation, and tags. Price is **$750** with free shipping in CONUS; payment via PayPal or Zelle (please add 4% for PayPal G&S). I will lower the price once every few days until I am able to sell it. Also, I’m not interested in any trades at this time. Thank you.

The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials.
