The watches produced in the late 80's seem to more commonly than not have dials that tend to turn 'frosted' or 'satin' where the paint in the lacquor will oxidize and react to form interesting patterns that we view as beautiful and collectible. It is harder to find these reactions in the dials when we deviate closer to the 90's and harder to see in the older matte dial variations as well.
