Listing a brand-new Certina diver, sized up but never worn. This is a probably the best Swiss diver under a grand and a natural counterpoint to similarly priced Seiko divers. Certina has some real history and chops, and put out this diver a few years ago— a (very politely done) modern diver in the vein of a Sub or Seamaster. Certina was pretty early to jump on the smaller diver train—12.2mm thick, 38mm wide, and 46mm lug to lug are fairly svelte measurements even in a world with a BB54. If you've buckled on a modern Sub or an SPB143 and found it a little large, this is your diver. Actually wears a little bit more like a 39mm thanks to a few design cues and some beefy endlinks. Nice bracelet, so-so clasp. Great bezel action and lume. Keeping pretty good time. These Powermatic 80s tend to be reliable performers, IMO. Retails for about $860 after tax.
