Hi everyone,

This is a rare Exquisite Seiko Advan watch in absolutely gorgeous condition. It has a stunning Vibrant Turquoise Blue blended with lime yellow colored sunburst dial with raised faceted indexes on a super solid beefy Jumbo Octagon 🛑 Cushion case. Faceted crystal only elevates its look. It's an only JDM/ Japanese Market released watch. Comes with English and Japanese day wheel. The Kanji(Japanese) date highly complements the dial. Impressive for a 51 year old watch. Comes with a solid razor bracelet. Movement has been serviced. Accuracy checked with timegrapher. Running flawlessly. One of the oversized watches of its era at 39 mm. This is a beast under sunlight, pictures don't do justice to this beauty. It's pretty rare to see a piece like this come on. Seiko has always kept such dials limited and they fetch a lot higher than other color variants of same model. They were designed to have premium build quality but within regions of Japan. This is a collector's piece. Handling this, I can definitely guarantee this is far above any modern watches in the same price zone.

Advan was a premium seiko lineup. The name ADVAN is named after 'advanced technology' referring to the 7019 movement which was at the top end of the 7xxx movements. The polish is insane with sharp brushed lines and mirror finishes. Crown perfectly blends into the case. Textured 3d Mirror finished electric hand complements the dial. It's a beast under sunlight. The date changing mechanism of the movement is rather special. By pressing the crown into the watch, the date will click and change automatically.

The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials.
