The 7a28 was the first quartz Chronograph movement released by Seiko in 1983, but they were making them earlier and this serial number is dated from Nov’82. The 6 o’clock subdial houses the running seconds. The 3 o’clock records down to 1/20th of a second and 9 o’clock records up to 30 minutes. Main second hand records the standard minute. This chronograph mechanism is all working perfectly. Holding the 4 o’clock pusher makes all the hands spin which is quite enjoyable (video in IMGUR link). Should there be a need to adjust the chronograph hand positions pulling out of the main crown (7 o’clock) to first position allows you to manually adjust them with the other pushers. The normal ‘time’ mechanism works perfectly. This watch has recently been professionally serviced by Guy at Rexworthy Watches (well known Seiko man in the UK) with a fresh crystal earlier this year. It is completely unpolished and has a lovely grey matte finish to the bezel and surrounds. The lower edge and underside has a bright mirror finish. The bracelet is original and has a couple of very minor scuffs from desk diving. Being JDM spec, this one does not have labels within the subdials aside from the numbers and also has ‘Speedmaster’ and a helmet logo on the clasp. I understand Omega justifiably got upset about this and later versions do not have this. I have been monitoring eBay and other channels for a long while for these and have never seen another in as nice condition. This is a birth year piece that I bought for my 40th birthday but due to it being almost NOS I never wear it - and my watches are all for wearing. I’m asking £1500. The watch is in the UK but I would ship internationally. [IMGUR with Timestamp](https://imgur.com/a/fB51NhL)
