# Hey again watch fam! 🕰️ Today, I have an absolute gem to offer - my **Breguet Type XXI Reference 3810 Flyback Chronograph**. I first developed an interest in Breguet chronographs last year when I came across a [Hodinkee article](http://www.hodinkee.com/) covering 25 years of the Type XX and Type XXI. I had been looking to add a chrono back to the lineup after selling my Autavia, and was struck by how well Breguet managed to pull off a design that is simultaneously elegant and toolish. Needless to say, when I saw this one come up for sale, I jumped at the opportunity to pick it up. It's easily the most visually interesting piece I've owned, and I constantly find myself taking little moments to admire the little details of the watch. The Ruthenium dial is hard to describe well. I had never seen a dial color like this before, and since it's one of the rarest metals on earth, I doubt I will any time soon. At a glance, the dial appears to be a metallic dark gray, but in certain light is seems to have some subtle rich brown tones. The applied indices and recessed sub-dials just add more depth, and it's just a watch that you will not get tired of looking at. It's also one of those watches that I seem to get a lot of comments on when I'm out, which rarely happens with most of the other pieces I've owned. I was lucky enough to get this on the bracelet, which is extremely well made and comfortable (no pinching at all). I can also say that this is a strap monster. It looks great on leather, suede, and even a NATO - which is probably par for the course when it comes to a pilot's chronograph. Another nice thing is that the lugs are curved and short, so while it isn't small, it doesn't wear as large as these dimensions sometimes do on other watches. As for condition, the watch is in impeccable shape with minor hairline scratches visible here and there, but only under very close examination. Timekeeping is among the best I've ever had, easily keeping within chronometer spec. As is usually the case, I am selling this to make room for whatever is next for the collection. I'm open to trade offers, but not sure what I want next so we can talk. I wouldn't mind something from IWC, Tudor, Omega, or perhaps Breitling? Idk.
