Seiko's Sumo is a legendary dive watch among the big-wristed sekitori for a reason, with and a 44mm case diameter set against a 51mm lug-to-lug measurement. Inside ticks Seiko's higher-end automatic 6r movement, held in place by a screwdown crown at 4 o'clock and a screwdown caseback giving this rugged rikishi 200m water resistance. The problem with the Sumo has always been the hardlex crystal and aluminum bezel insert which both pick up scratches like crazy, both on and off the dohyo. I've solved that problem by modding in an unscratchable domed sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel insert to give this big blue badass durable, tool watch materials that can stand up to any oshidashi or yorikiri you run into. Condition is quite good as shown in the photos below. The bezel insert and crystal are pristine as they should be, and the case and bracelet show some moderate wear consistent with a well-loved watch of this vintage. There are no major scratches or dents, but the bracelet and case show some evidence of wear.
