Manufacturing of Elgin watches took place at their facility in Elgin, Illinois.* This Elgin pocket watch was manufactured in Elgin, Illinois, and was finished in 1912. The watch is powered by Elgin’s in-house 21 jewel Father Time grade movement, which is a railroad chronometer. The movement has been restored and custom refinished with blue accents. The accents were created by thermally treating each movement part by hand to color the iron-based components, and the hands of the watch have been restored using the same thermal treatment process. The Elgin dial is porcelain-enamel and in excellent condition. The dial features a Montgomery style as well as a 24-hour indication, which provides an exceptionally unique look. The watch is cased in a case with a see-through caseback so the inner workings of the watch are always on display.
