The Pearldiver is one of Yema’s most wearable dive watches coming in at a wrist-friendly 38mm. Inside ticks Yema’s automatic, hacking and hand-winding YEMA2000 in-house movement and this one is running great. With Yema’s in-house movements, either you get a good one, or you get a dud and then you have to slog through their notoriously bad customer service, but luckily this movement is a good one, running strong and very accurately (seriously check out that pristine timegrapher reading in the gallery below!). This bad-boy should give you no issues for years to come. The styling harkens back to Yema’s mid-twentieth century dive watches, with vintage design cues: creamy lume, black coated hands and an outrageously domed hesalite crystal. I particularly love that there are no numbers at all on the dial or bezel (unless you count the 660 foot depth rating). Just a clean, classy layout and look for a vintage-leaning dive watch. Condition is excellent, with no significant wear on the case, bezel or crystal. I should call out some small marks under 2mm here and there, one on the bezel insert, one on a lug, but nothing that you can see on-wrist. There is some very faint desk-diving scuffs on the clasp of the ridiculously comfortable and unique bracelet, and, as stated above, the movement is running brilliantly.
