About a year ago I foolishly thought that I could scratch my perpetual Blancpain Fifty Fathoms itch with the novel Tornek Rayville TR-660. Those of you that know the 1960’s Tornek history may understand where I was coming from, but those of you that have seen both actual watches in person must think that I was indeed a fool. Long story short, I was not able to find a TR-660 anywhere, so I ended up buying one from eBay on August 25th, 2022, for US$ 1,600 (see print screen of the transaction in my pictures link), unboxing it, trying it on for a few hrs at the house, putting it back to his box and not touching it since then. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this watch, I actually think it looks quite cool and it compares well in the Baltic/Squale SUB-39/Rado Cptain Cook neighborhood. But again, it just doesn’t even start to scratch my Blancpain Fifty Fathoms itch. So, I decided to let it go to someone that truly loves it and desires it, and recoup founds for my next watch project (guess what…). As you can see from the pics the watch is pristine, excellent new condition, comes with box, paper, original nato strap. And please keep in mind the extremely limited supply of this watch.
