For sale is an absolute beauty in both design and condition. Immediately evoking the famed Heuer Monaco made famous by Steve McQueen on the racetrack in Le Mans, this “poor mans” version has everything going for it, fit in a more wearable round case. While I can’t say for sure if this example falls under that category, the similarities are nonetheless striking. The sunburst dial and applied indices really glisten under the sun, while its original crisp radial brushing on the bezel carries the rays in all directions. The Valjoux 7734 movement ticking inside keeps decent time. The only thing to note are the scratches on the acrylic crystal, which can easily be polished off.
