Selling my Grand Seiko Shunbun (SBGA443) with full kit: box and papers, all bracelet links, active five-year warranty dated Nov 2023. The watch is in 99% near-mint condition - there are a few extremely light scratches on the bracelet, not particularly visible, see the last photo in the album. None of the scratches are deep enough to feel with a finger nail. The case, and even the signed clasp, are free from scratches. No dents or damage anywhere. I'm the original owner, selling because I'm downsizing my collection and only wore this watch 3 or 4 times in the time I've had it. Asking for $5800 shipped insured, US seller looking for US sales only. Not looking for trades. I accept payment through Paypal/Venmo, F&F only unless you have some transaction feedback. I mostly sell on eBay where I have 100% positive feedback with over 1000 transactions, which I'm happy to prove to anyone worried about buying from me. The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials.
