Note: made an error in title, watch is 1971. Overall: This is a well-preserved example of a 1971 Rolex Datejust 1601, freshly serviced and ready to wear. A great opportunity to own an iconic and classic reference with an attractive dial variation. More detailed description: • Original silver dial in good condition, especially considering its age. It features a rare vertical brushed finish, a more unusual variation compared to the more common sunburst dials, giving it extra character. • The lume has aged beautifully, showing a warm and even patina. • The case remains sharp, though it does show evidence of past polishing with some faint marks visible on the sides. With some wear and tear most notable wear is on the bottom-left lug. • Bracelet is in decent condition for a 1601 of this era, not a lot of stretch with only a couple of wonky links. Movement: • Powered by the Rolex Caliber 1570, freshly serviced with new gaskets and mainspring. • Timegrapher results are included. While I don’t have the Rolex-specific tool to fine-tune the beat error, the watch is currently keeping time well. With a minor adjustment, it could run even better should the new owner wish to get done. Priced very well for EU residents at €3700 excluding shipping and fees.
