This watch basically says, *“I don’t need to shout, I already own the company.”* Cartier designed this for people who appreciate timeless elegance but still like their wristwear to turn heads at the dinner table. This isn’t your average Tank, it’s the XL! The Goldilocks of the lineup: large enough to have presence, but still refined enough to slide under a cuff without so much as a wrinkle. I love Cartier's warm rose gold and this case glows like sunset in Paris, and paired with Cartier’s classic Roman numeral dial and blued sword hands, it’s the horological equivalent of slipping into a tux. It comes with the original Cartier brown croc strap that is in 9/10 condition and the solid rose gold Cartier tang. This example is clean, crisp, and honest. The case has light surface wear consistent with careful ownership, no deep dings dents or scratches. I don't polish my watches, since I like to wear them, and the wear on this one would polish out easily if you see fit. The hairlines are most noticeable when they catch the light. The most significant of which is a superficial scuff that I tried to capture in the pics at about 2-o-clock. Again, this would easily polish out and has zero texture to it when you run your finger over it, I just want to be as transparent as possible. Inside beats Cartier’s trusty automatic movement, ticking away smoothly and confidently like a French maître d’. The watch was purchased from Chronostore through eBay and comes with the eBay authentication paperwork/card and Chronostore paperwork. No original Cartier box/papers.
