The Constellation line was first introduced in 1952 as Omega’s answer to the Rolex Datejust, and quickly became a cornerstone of their catalog. It offered both technical precision and refined styling, and this particular model is no exception. This piece features a 35mm stainless steel case with sharply defined lugs and a screw-down case back, fitted with the iconic Geneva Observatory medallion. Lug-to-lug is 40mm and thickness is 10.7mm, making it well-balanced on the wrist, even by today’s standards. The dial is original and in great condition, showing a soft silver sunburst finish that reflects beautifully under the domed plexiglass crystal. Applied silver hour markers with onyx inlays, matching dauphine hands, and a framed date window at 3 o’clock complete the classic layout. Typography remains crisp and untouched, and the Omega logo is etched at the center of the crystal. Inside is the Omega Caliber 564, a 24-jewel automatic chronometer movement with a 50-hour power reserve and quick-set date function. The watch is in great condition, showing light scratches along the case and caseback. Crystal is flawless and clean. Dial is untouched and completely original showing slight patinas. Watch comes fitted on custom leather straps with aftermarket Omega buckle. The watch is recently serviced and keeping great time at (+/-5s a day). Although it doesn’t come with original box and papers, a standard watch box will be provided upon purchase.
