$60,000 I bought this Rolex GMT Master new at Tiffany & Co in 1974. My father gave me a Pulsar for my 16th birthday and I traded that in for this. I was dreaming of becoming a professional pilot, and eventually did. This watch was worn all over the world and I guess that’s why it looks like it does. The watch has only been serviced at Rolex N.Y. I remember bringing it to the Fifth Ave. service center either once or twice. Later, around 1999 or so, I sent it to Rolex for another service. I have no idea about what kind of service parts they may have used, if any. The bezel is original and the blue side is extremely faded. The watch was never damaged, so I don’t know if Rolex would have had any other reason to use service parts. In those days, before these became collector’s items, no one — or certainly not, anyway I — thought to ask about that. That’s the last time it was serviced and it has never been opened by anyone but RUSA. I have no box or records. If there’s a way to get purchase records from Tiffany from half a century ago, they would confirm the sale to me. The watch runs but stops about about 15 minutes. I have the original bracelet, but broke and the Rolex added the bracelet that’s on it now at that last service \~25 years ago. Original bracelet included, but it would need repair and tightening and additional links if your wrist is bigger than mine. You are welcome to come to inspect the watch, which is in Vermont. I’m reluctant to ship and would prefer an in-person cash transaction. I’m open to meeting at a Rolex dealer somewhere if you’d like to have them inspect it. Happy to arrange video call or anything else you want to prove my identity and ownership of the watch, but SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY. The price for this holy grail watch is based on Philips auction house telling me six years ago that they would estimate $55K for a sale on this at their auction.

The price of this watch is an outlier for this particular model and not included in the distribution. It may be miscategorized, incorrectly priced, or extremely unique.

Estimated Private Party Value $10,500 — $19,750
