For Sale: My Sinn 104 St Sa I Pilot's Watch $1600 USD, open to offers. I am posting my excellently maintained Sinn 104 St Sa I. A favorite among watch collectors and enthusiast. With it's clean, classic aesthetic and rugged performance features, this versatile piece is an excellent one-watch, or an addition to your collection. This watch is in excellent pre-owned condition, showing only minimal sign of wear on the bracelet, and the case side, only noticeable in certain light. Purchased new in Feb 2024 from Watchbuys(dot)com, it comes with the AD Authentication card. I am simply looking to part with it to help fund my next purchase after it has spent quite some time out of my collection-rotation. Dial: Matte black with luminous white indices and hands for exceptional legibility in all conditions. Day-Date Display: Sleekly seated at the 3 o'clock position. Case: 41mm stainless steel. Bezel: Unidirectional, minute-marked, countdown-timer. Bracelet: The coveted Sinn H-link bracelet with 3 micro-adjust positions. Stainless steel, some light wear on the clasp. Fitted for my 6.75" wrist, additional links and tools included. Movement: Sellita SW 220-1. Runs wonderfully. 41hr power reserve, but I notice it tends to hold closer to 48hrs. Water Resistance: 200m (20 ATM)

Sinn Spezialuhren GmbH is a manufacturer of mechanical wristwatches based in Frankfurt am Main. The company was founded in 1961 by flight instructor and pilot Helmut Sinn under the name ‘Helmut Sinn Spezialuhren’.

Following its foundation in 1961, the company focused on the manufacture of navigation cockpit clocks and pilot chronographs and sold these through direct selling, bypassing retailers. The clocks and watches were produced according to pilot Helmut Sinn’s specifications in the private label sector in Switzerland. By eliminating the trade margin of the retailers, the company was able to offer its clocks and watches at a lower price than through traditional sales channels.

In 1994, Helmut Sinn sold the company to Lothar Schmidt. Following the sale, he acquired Swiss watchmaker Guinand in 1996. In 1998, he set up a new company in Frankfurt am Main. With this company, he offered brand watches from Jubilar, Chronosport and the newly acquired Guinand. In 2006, he retired from business activity. Since handing over the management of the business to his long-standing employee Horst Hassler, he now acts as an advisor to the company. On September 3rd 2016 Helmut Sinn celebrated his 100th birthday.
