Hi everyone, for sale today is a nice Omega 168.024

1. General introduction
A very nice stainless steel Omega 168.024 (the chronometer version of 166.010), superb condition, 35mm, chronometer, onyx inserted hour markers, white sunburst dial, original Omega 1502/11 bracelet in very good condition.
Brand: Omega; Model: Seamaster; Reference: 168.024.

2. Detail

Dial: Original white sunburst dial in very good condition. Onyx inserted hour markers; dauphine hands; prints, hands, hour markers are all good.
Case: The diameter is 35mm without the crown. Original case in superb condition, razor sharp, few hairline scratches, still shining. The case back looks like it has not been opened (much) before. Original Omega knurled crown.
Movement: Caliber 564 with quickset date function, chronometer. The watch is running, all functions work as they should. Serial number is 26017564, dated to 1968. Last service in Feb 2025.

Glass: Original with Omega logo, no visible scratches, magnifying windown at 3.
Bracelet: Original Omega bracelet reference 1502 with 11 end-links (21 links, 2 removable) in very good condition, triple fold clasp featuring micro-adjust with Omega logo.
Accessory: Watch only.
Overall, this is a perfect example of the reference.

Founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. He travelled throughout Europe selling his watches from Italy to Scandinavia by way of England, his chief market. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, troubled by irregular deliveries of questionable quality, abandoned the unsatisfactory assembly workshop system in favour of in-house manufacturing and total production control. Due to the greater supply of manpower, communications and energy in Bienne, the enterprise moved into a small factory in January 1880, then bought the entire building in December. Two years later the company moved into a converted spinning-factory in the Gurzelen district of Bienne, where headquarters are still situated today. Their first series-produced calibres, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous Omega calibre of 1894, would ensure the brand's marketing success.
