Watches were produced in their factory in Springfield, Illinois*. We say we're from Chicago, but are we really? Is anyone who claims to be from Chicago actually from Chicago? We were born and raised just north of the city in Evanston, a suburb, and we have a deep appreciation for vintage Illinois timepieces. Our passion began on a middle school trip to Springfield, Illinois, where this timepiece was originally manufactured in 1923. At the time, we had no idea about the watchmaking powerhouse that once thrived there. This particular watch features a breathtaking sunburst dial, and beneath it lies an exceptionally rare “The Banker” 17-jewel in-house movement. It’s an amazing piece all around, measuring 44 mm but wearing closer to 40 mm thanks to the case’s lug design. It’s ready for a new wrist to call home. **Price**: $1,749, But absolutely negotiable—especially to someone with an interest in getting involved in vintage American watchmaking. **Case**: 316L stainless, 44 mm diameter, 47 mm lug to lug (52 mm with crown), 13 mm height, front/back sapphire crystals. Front, back, and crown gaskets provide 50 meters of water resistance although it is recommended to take the piece off before water activities. **Shipping**: UPS 2nd Day Air free in the USA.
