For sale is an absolutely stunning vintage Wittnauer. This has art deco vibes all day long. Sadly, the watch box has gotten too full, so one of my favorites has to go.

This is a hand winding movement. Winds up and keeps time. Service history unknown.

The stainless steel case measures 33 mm, excluding the crown. Wears a bit bigger due to the finely detailed stepped case. Lug tip to log tip is 42 mm. The angle lugs are quite elegant. There is normal vintage wear on the case, but no major scratches or dents. Acrylic crystal is in excellent condition with no major scratches.

Let's talk about that dial. It is a stunning guilloche sunburst pattern, topped with applied art deco style numerals. The alpha hand set is completed with a blued steel seconds hand (though the blue may not come through in the pictures).

Wittnauer was the US importer for Longines, so they historically shared many of the same parts. This is probably from the late forties to early fifties.

The stitched strap is, unusually, pig skin. It's in excellent condition and the light tone complements the detail on the dial. Pretty sure this will take an 18 mm strap.
