MB&F (Maximilian Büsser and Friends) is a Swiss luxury watch and clock manufacturer founded by Maximilian Busser in July 2005 in Geneva, Switzerland. To call them wildly successful is an understatement. For a company that sells watches that are generally way above $50,000, they can't keep them in stock. A few years ago, they manufactured a M.A.D1 watch and to get one, you had to enter a draw for an opportunity to purchase one. I won the chance, purchased the watch and now, it's time to let someone else enjoy it. It comes with the full kit and one extra strap that is currently attached. It's only been worn a handful of times, literally less than 5, and the condition reflects this. Teaming with French artist and avant-garde designer [Jean-Charles de Castelbajac](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zd1_Zc6JkZk), MB&F has infused the M.A.D.1 design with the artist’s color pallet (red, blue and yellow) as well as his trademark use of upbeat phrases and text. [M.A.D. 1 Time to Love](https://www.mbandf.com/madeditions/mad1-time-to-love) is a 42mm titanium-cased automatic watch characterized by a dial-side rotor that spins gleefully as its wearer moves. Hours and minutes are displayed along the side of the case with revolving hour and minute cylinders, engraved and highly visible thanks to a liberal use of SuperLumiNova. MB&F has taken a reliable Miyota 821A automatic movement, flipped it upside down (in a reference to MB&F’s [HM3](https://www.mbandf.com/en/machines/horological-machines/hm3) and [HM8](https://www.mbandf.com/en/machines/horological-machines/hm8)) and added a triple-blade, titanium and tungsten rotor with unidirectional winding (which MB&F explains is essential for easy, high-speed rotation).
