With some hesitation I have decided to put up my WW2 Waltham A11 up for sale. I very much like the watch, but I find that I almost never wear it. The chrome plated case is in exceptional condition for its age. My extreme macro images do show some nicks in the chrome, but I cannot see them with the naked eye. The one larger surface scratch on the side of the case shown in the last photo is visible but not bad. Most examples you will find have the cases beat to heck. I bought the strap off Ebay and it was claimed to be NOS from the 40s. I cannot confirm this, but it fits the watch nicely and is 7.5 inches (19cm) from the springbar to the last hole.

The watch was serviced by Scott McCoy 12/2022 who specializes in these watches. He replaced the mainspring at that time. I have worn it less than a handful of times since then, but when I got it out for this sale I noticed that there is an issue with the hacking mechanism. The issue sometimes makes it difficult to pull out the crown, but otherwise the watch runs well. I suspect it will be an easy fix, but I no longer have a local watchmaker.

I have taken many clear macro images to highlight (if not exaggerate) any condition issues. Asking $425 usd with shipping included within the continental United States. Shipping elsewhere at cost to the buyer. Paypal is my preferred method of payment. No returns unless grossly misrepresented. The value on these seems to have gone up in the last few years, so at the end of this thread I have shared a few comps to explain how I arrived at the asking price.

Another with a rough case and an incorrect dial (it should be unsigned) went for $549:

Here is one that went for $370 at auction but the case is totally trashed:
