Up for sale is my gently used baby tuna. Watch was purchased new by me and worn to the office as part of my rotation. Its in excellent condition with only minor signs of use, minor scratches on the case and bracelet. Crystal is scratch free. This one has English and Roman Numeral day wheel. Slowly getting out of my watch addiction and reducing the collection. Comes complete with its box, manual, extra links and original clasp which is still pretty much new. I used one of my Strapcode milled clasps with the stock bracelet. The clasp was modified so I could cover up the last 2 tapered links in the oem bracelet and it ended up fitting my wrist perfectly with 2 links removed. The Strapcode clasp has been used on other watches over the years and shows allot more wear then the rest of the watch. This is fully reversible and all stock parts/pins/links are included. I accept Zelle, Venmo, PayPal (you cover fees), Money Order, Check, and cash for local buyers in Kirkland WA area.

The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials.
