Up for sale is a modern classic Grand Seiko, the original double-signed Snowflake reference SBGA011. Full High-Intensity Titanium case and bracelet, 9R65 Spring Drive with 72 hour power reserve, blued steel seconds hand and matching "Spring Drive" font, and the incredibly textured Snowflake dial inspired by the Hotaka mountains around the GS Shinshu Watch Studio where the watch is made.

The case measure 41mm wide, with a 49mm lug to lug and 12.5mm thickness. The lug width is 20mm, and size is shown on my ~6.75” wrist for reference. The lightweight titanium makes this super comfortable to wear. This example is in excellent condition and comes double boxed with the original guarantee paper, manual, and bracelet measuring just over 8” laid flat as shown.

Asking $3,125 shipped in the US, payment via wire, Zelle, or Venmo F&F. I am happy to accommodate international shipping and will only charge the difference in cost on top. Also willing to meet F2F, north of Boston. I'm not interested in trades.

The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials.
