I'm offering for sale a Martin Braun Grand Prix Chronograph. This is a Limited Edition watch, 1xx of 250. The watch is in great condition with no major dings or scratches, just the usual swirls that you would expect on a watch with a polished bezel. The sapphire chrystals, front and back, are perfect with no blemishes or scratches. The strap is in excellent condition with very little signs of wear, and the buckle only has minor swirls,
again as you'd expect on a polished buckle. I'm sure you could have it polished to perfection if you so choose.
All functions work perfectly.
Abut the watch... Martin Braun produced this watch a while back when he was a watch sponsor of the Jordan F1 team. The case is a Martin Braun deisgned SS case with fluted sides, screw down crown, screw down back and SS pushers. The dial is a gorgeous carbon fiber dial that is so rich it has a 3D effect. The Chronograph has a large sweeping central seconds hand and minute and hour sub-dials at 12 and 6 o'clock. The movement is a Valjoux 7750, but Martin Braun has managed to work out the Valjoux wobble so it sits comfortable on the wrist. The typical seconds hand found at the 9 o'clock position is there, but he has hidden that hand by making it black and this blends into the dial... but it's there. The case back screws down with 8 screws and the sapphire crystal displays the rotor, fashioned as a racing wheel!
The strap is a Martin Braun creation in a canvas-type material (it's not canvas, but it's the best way I can describe it), and a genuine leather back. The material of the strap is not only water resistant but SUPER durable, it has yellow stitching to match the dial. It's not as supple as a cordovan leather strap but it's not stiff at all, it sits nicely on the wrist. Even though I've worn this watch over the years, the strap shows little signs of wear, pretty amazing really! I will give you the chice of the MB deployant buckle, or a new MB tang buckle.
The watch comes with the coolest box; a small technical briefcase, which includes a Martin Braun GP hat, a F1 miniature car w/MB logo, and original papers. There is no remaining warranty on the watch but I expect that it will continue to provide excellent service for many years to come. It keeps great time and all functions work flawlessly. Also, since it's a VJ 7750 watch, any competent watch maker can service it!
I'm asking$2,500 $1,950 net to me, including shipping in the Continental US. Outside of that we can discuss. ADDITIONALLY, I am throwing in a brand new Martin Braun strap that was designed for this watch. This strap was the original design for this watch, it's yellow to match the dial. New, completely unworn. I will add pictures soon (or email me for strap pics)
I can be reached at jgonzalezdc @ gmail.com for questions or offers. I'm in the SoCal area and would be happy to do an in person deal if you wish.
Thanks!
